Dear Reader,
Do you sometimes feel as if you’ve lost all hope?
This can happen easily when we look at the world around us. The economy is in a slump, crime figures are rising and corruption is everywhere!
And that is even before we where confronted by the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020!
Maybe you’ve lost someone you love during the pandemic. Or you are one of the millions who have lost your job during this time. A lot of people also suffer from the effects of social isolation because of being in lockdown.
Do you feel as if you have cried enough tears to fill an ocean?
It is easy to feel this.way, as life sure is no joke!
And with every new year we wish each other all the best. And tell ourselves: “This year things will get better. This year will be mý year!”
But every year our hopes are defied. As if the universe are conspiring to make life even harder!
This is when we can take hope from this passage in Revelations. Knowing that one day in heaven there will be no more pain, or sorrow, or tears! And we will be reunited with our loved ones who we now misses so dearly!
So even though we will keep on wishing each other all the best for the future, maybe we should rather call out daily: “Maranatha – Come Lord Jesus!”
Thanks for reading.
